Hoarding is a recognised mental health condition, and clearing a home is rarely just a cleaning job. It works when it is done with the person rather than around them, and when trust is built before anything is moved. We take our time, we do not judge, and we never bulldoze through someone’s belongings to get it finished.
We help households across Rochdale and Greater Manchester, often after hearing from a worried relative, a support worker or a housing officer.
A clearance done with the resident
We agree a plan first, then work room by room at a pace the person can cope with. We sort as we go, keeping what they want to keep, recycling what we can and removing the rest. Decisions stay with the resident wherever possible, because a clearance that feels forced rarely lasts, and the home fills up again.
Where a support worker, family member or housing association is involved, we are happy to work alongside them so everyone is pulling in the same direction.
What we find behind the clutter
A heavily hoarded property often hides more than possessions. There can be spoiled food, rodent or insect infestation, blocked appliances and areas of real biohazard contamination, particularly in the kitchen and bathroom. We are equipped to deal with all of it, from deep cleaning and pest issues to full decontamination where it is needed.
The work commonly includes:

- Removal and licensed disposal of waste, including any biohazard material
- Treating pest infestation and contamination behind the clutter

Discreet, insured and priced fairly
We arrive in unmarked vans and keep the work private, which matters a great deal to most of the people we help. Hoarding clearances are priced by the volume of work involved, commonly somewhere between around £500 and £5,000, and we give a clear written price after seeing the property. We are fully insured, and any biohazard waste leaves through a licensed carrier.

No. We keep what the resident wants to keep and make decisions with them wherever we can. We sort carefully, look out for documents, money and items of value, and recycle what we are able to.
Can you work with a housing association or support worker?
Yes, and we often do. We are used to working alongside families, support workers, housing associations and local authorities across Greater Manchester, handling communal areas properly and keeping everything discreet.
