Sharps & needle removal

Discarded needles are a real risk to the public and to anyone who has to clear them. We collect them safely, dispose of them correctly and disinfect the ground afterwards.

A single discarded needle can carry hepatitis B, hepatitis C or HIV, and it stays a hazard until someone equipped to handle it removes it. We take that risk off landlords, businesses, letting agents, schools and public-space managers across Rochdale and Greater Manchester, whether it is one needle or a regular problem at a site.

You can contact us for a one-off collection or set up a routine sweep. Either way, we attend promptly.

Where sharps turn up, and why it matters

Needles and other sharps are commonly found in stairwells and communal bin stores, in alleyways and entries between terraces, in parks, subways, car parks and public toilets. They put children, pets, ground staff and cleaners at risk, and a needlestick injury means a distressing wait for test results even when it turns out fine. Removing them properly is a small job that prevents a serious one.

How we handle it

Our technicians collect sharps into approved, puncture-proof containers using the correct equipment, never by hand. The containers are removed through a licensed clinical-waste carrier, with the paperwork completed, and we disinfect the area where the sharps were found. For a site with a recurring problem we can carry out regular scheduled checks so it never builds up.

For landlords, agents and businesses

If you manage housing, a commercial site or a public space in Greater Manchester, we can put a simple arrangement in place: a fast response when something is reported, or a regular sweep of the areas where sharps tend to appear. We are fully insured, and the disposal is fully documented so your own compliance records are covered.

Do you offer regular sweeps for sites?

Yes. For landlords, agents and businesses with a recurring problem we can set up scheduled checks of the areas where sharps tend to appear, alongside a fast response when something is reported.
